Chocolate is always the answer

Hey - I have been playing along with Stamping Bella  and made this card using Edna loves Chocolate Seeing as it was all about the chocolate - I themed it with purple that reminded me of Cadburys wrappers and Dairy milk!!

I cut a panel of purple spotty paper from Doodlebug Kraft in colour collection which I die cut with a  My Favourite things scalloped edge die. I also used a double stitched oval die to cut out the image which I stuck to the base card with 3d foam. The Thank you sticker is from Pebbles which I cut down slightly to fit in better.

I added a spotty co-ordinating button which I tied with the red twine. I stamped the greeting and then used promarkers to colour a chocolate Peel Offs and then added some little heart gems from Hobbycraft.

This is a bit of a close up to show you the sparkle on her wings from Spectrum Noit Sparkle pen.

I used these Promarkers to colour Edna -

Skin- Usual
Hair - Saffron, Cinnamon, Henna & Walnut
Wings - Powder Blue & Blue pearl
Clothes - Wild Orchid, Boysenberry & Aubergine
Chocs - Walnut, Saffron, Cool grey, Umber
Poppy & Burgundy
Leaf Green and Grass.

I hope you like her - I reckon I probably look at chocolate as adoringly as Edna!!
Have a good day,

The Paper Shelter - Autumn Beauty

Sorry Im a little late posting this card for The Paper Shelter, (Afternoon shifts always ruin my plans!!) The new challenge theme is Autumn colours - not nec a Autumn image though I have used this one called  Autumn Beauty.

I used prismacolours to colour the image and printed some digital papers from Whimsy stamps onto a textured gloss paper. I used a pebbles rub on and mounted the image onto co-ordinations core colour card which i sanded back slightly so the purple just begins to show through.

I used a small acorn charm and three different colour ribbons to finish the card.

Hope you like her and all join in with the challenge.

Flossie Bumblethorpe

Hello - There is a new challenge starting today at I love Promarkers and it is sponsored by Dr Digi with an Anything Goes theme!! I have had fun colouring and creating this card using a huge print out of  Flossie Bumblethorpe

I printed Flossie out supersized as I was lacking in a bit of inspiration as to what to do for my card this week. I then paper pieced her dress with patterned paper from Basic Grey Urban Prairie Paper. The only other things I have added are some red papermania gems and a resin flower! I doodled a frame around the image and mounted it on black card.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour Flossie -
Skin - usual
Hat & Bag - Raw Sienna, Cinnamon & Cocoa
Hair & Walking frame - Cool grey 1 to 5 and black
Berries - Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy
Trim - Oasis & Pastel Green.

I really like how she turned out - I reckon Flossie is a bit of a force to be reckoned with!!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges -

I used diamond stickles to add some sparkle to the snowman and finally added a Holly leaf embellishment from Hobbycraft.

Ben's 40th Birthday

Hello - Today is my Husbands (still odd saying that!) 40th Birthday and I have planned a surprise trip for us in the near future to a Glamping lodge. It is luxury under canvas!! When Dr Digi released this new image - Well I just knew it was perfect for his Birthday card... This image is called Rub-A-Dud-Dub

And these are the inspiration photos of the lodge!! How amazing does this look... The only thing I'm worried about is the weather but there is a log burning stove to keep us warm so fingers crossed it stays dry!

I hope it is a fab as it looks but all the reviews suggest it will be!!! I'll let you know when I've been!!
Happy Birthday Ben and here's to a lovely relaxing break.
