Mums got Green Finger and Thumbs.

Morning Everyone -
This mornings card I've made for my Mum's birthday on the 5th Feb. I'm organized for once as they are going away to Edinburgh to watch the Rugby at the weekend so I had to be. I know its safe to post though as neither Mum or Dad do Social Media.

This image is perfect for My Mum and is called Green Fingers and Thumbs from Dr Digi. I love pottering in my Garden and I definitely got that from my Mum. Anytime I don't know what something this or how I look after a plant - I get my Mum round to help. I'm not sure she has ever grown Marrows though...
This weird weather is confusing my garden - I have tulips and Daffodils coming through already so I won't be long until we can get out again weeding and trimming.

I used Die-namics die cut rectangle to cut my image panel which I coloured with Promarkers. The papers are from a new pad I got this week (which is full of lovely gold foiling...) from My Minds Eye called On Trend 2. I was struggling with a layout and found this one as a challenge on Mojo Monday. I cut the banners from the paper and stuck them behind the image panel which I then stuck on with 3 foam to raise it up. I tied string around the bottom of the panel and knotted the shovel charm to it. I also used a Craftworks Card greeting which personalized the card for my Mum. Finally I used liquid pearls in Royal blue to copy the Heart shape from the pattern on the papers above the greeting.
I also added glaze to her Glasses and used a silver pen on the spade and her dungaree buckles.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Hair - Sandstone, Cinnamon, Cocoa & Chestnut.
Dungarees - Cadet Blue, Reef Blue, Petrol Blue & Navy Blue.
Top - Wild Cranberry, Maroon & Burgandy
Wellies -  Khaki, Herb Green & Pesto
Marrow - Forest Green, Pressed leaf, Fresh Meadow, Green shoots & Apple.
Ground - Umber & Walnut.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Zac is 3. (When did that happen??)

Im posting today the card I made for our Godsons 3rd Birthday. This is such a lovely image from All dressed up stamps- which you can find here. It is called It's a Pirates Life.

It was really fun to colour and I love using blues and reds together and I thought it would look good on a circular card base. I used a scalloped circle Nestibilities die from Spellbinders to cut the image and the blue mat- which is from Doodlebug Kraft in colour collection. The ribbon co-ordinated well with the colour of the waves and allowed me to attached the tag which is from Craftwork cards.
I used Doodlebug pendant stickers which I mounted onto black card to stand out and also Doodlebug numbers and letters to spell on today.

I used stickles on the clouds to make them shimmer and added some silver pen to the anchor and swords as well as some gold to other metal objects. I also used white gel pen on the waves to give them a little dimension. You can't really see it on these pictures but I used some pale blue pencil to tint the sky.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers on the image -
Boat - Tan, Nutmeg, Raw Sienna, Cocoa & Burnt Umber.
Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft Peach & Coral.
Clothes and flags - True Blue  & Poppy Red.
Flags & Hat - Cool greys 5, 4&3 (1 to shade the white areas)
Sea - Sea mist, Pastel Green & Oasis.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Have a good weekend everyone - speak soon,

All dressed up for fun.

Evening - I have had chance to make a card just for fun - not a challenge or a DT card - just because I wanted to and in my own style. So here it is... There is also a DT Call over at All Dressed up stamps so I would like to enter it in - There are some amazing enteries so doubt I'll have much chance but nothing to lose by trying hey!
This image is lovely and is called Three little Party Girls. Click on the title to go straight to the Esty page where you can buy these fab girls and many others.

I had real fun colouring the hair - especially the plait and am really pleased with how it looks. I also got to use three different hair combos.
These are -
First Girl - Buttercup, Pineapple Crush, Sleigh Bells & Raw Sienna.
Second Girl - Henna, Walnut, Raw Sienna, Satin & Warm Grey 5
Third Girl -  Warm Grey 3, 4 & 5 and a little Cool Grey 5.
Skin was my usual combo of Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice with Baby Pink cheeks.
For the dresses I used  - Lime Zest, Lime Green & Pear Green; Pastel green & Frosted Jade and finally  Fresh Bloom, Baby Pink & Antique Pink.

The stripe of paper is from Simple Stories collection called Vintage Bliss. I used a co-ordinating stripe of turquoise chevron ribbon from my stash and cut it into a point - I put a little clear PVA glue on the ends to seal them and stop them fraying. I also glued on the wooden word which is from Freckled Fawn and comes in a pack with lots of different words but they are all gorgeous. I then added various enamel shapes from My Minds Eye new collection called Hello Gorgeous. I have put a tiny bit of stickles star dust on the clothes too but you can't see it too well in the pictures.

I hope you like this card! I would like to enter it into the following challenges -

Caveman Klob

Morning  - Today's card from me is made with a Dr Digi image called Caveman Klob.
I've never coloured this one before and it was fun to get the Promarkers on. I stuck with the animal print and went with loads of it!

I love his Neandethal brow - I imagine he is staring off into the distance waiting for the passing beast to club and drag back to his woman! Makes me think he would also be great for a Valentines card!

The paper is from My Favourite Things and is called Wild Things. I used the same green paper with a woodware leave punch to cut out the few branches. I also used an animal print embossing folder from Cuttlebug on the orange card and mounted it on the black bazzill. I did the same with the animal print ribbon that I had in my stash. I carried on the animal print theme and used Amercian Craft thickers "Cheetah" for the numbers 50 and the Happy Birthday is from Pebbles. Finally I added a little green button in the top left corner which was also from my large stash!

I used these promarkers & flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Tash & Stone wheel - Blue Grey 1, 3 & 4
Club - Vanilla, Raw Sienna & Cocoa.
Clothes - Bright orange, Burnt Orange, Spice & Cool greys.

Be a Macaron...

Hello All, I made this card for a friends birthday - its perfect for her as she is a bit crazy! The image and statement are stamps from Stamping Bella called Uptown Girl Monique loves Macarons. (Sorry the pic isn't the best.)

I made this card using the colour scheme for the Stamping Bella Friday challenge but I got kept on late at work yesterday (I love a 17hr shift!) so I didn't get chance to post it on time.
The papers I've used are from My Favourite Things - Smitten collection and I simply mounted them onto red bazzill. I also added a few red gems in the corner and used Star Dust stickles on the Macarons. I die cut the image used some new dies I treated myself to from Die-namics called Wonky Stitched Rectangles... names says exactly what it is!

I used these promarkers & flexmarkers to colour Monique -
Skin - Coral, Soft Peach, Blush & Antique White.
Hair - Buttercup, Raw Sienna, Sleigh Bells & Pineapple Crush.

Lets Make a Memory Today

There is a new challenge over at I love Promarkers and it is to use something new. I'm sure you all got new crafty things for Christmas and can't wait to show off what you have made with them.
I got some Prisma colour pencils which I need to practice with to understand how to use them properly but I also got a stash of new 6x6 paper pads - which were bought from TK Maxx of all places.

The I love Promarkers challenge is changing a little as each challenge will now run for two weeks but with new inspiration from the Design team each week. This new challenge is sponsored by The Paper Shelter and I have used this image called Seeking Inspiration
I used my new paper with the frame background as inspiration as it reminded me of an art gallery wall.  This was from an American Crafts Dear Lizzie pad called Polka Dot Party. I cut the sentiment panel from another new pap from Pebbles called Happy Days. I used eyelets and a brad to make this look like a hanging picture with twine that I actually cut from a clothes label!! (Recycle & reuse!!)

I raided my scraps box and found the perfect red heart paper and also the Happy Birthday in blue satin card which I had cut previously using my Silhouette. Finally I added the enamel dots from Doodlebug in co-ordinating colours.

I used these promarkers & flexmarkers-
Skin - Antique white, blush, soft peach & coral. Baby pink cheeks,
Hair - Walnut, Burnt Umber, Terracotta & Cinnamon.
Wood - Raw Sienna & Saddle brown
Paints - Purple, True blue, Ocean teal & Lime Green
Beret & trousers - Cool greys 1, 3, 4 & 5
Powder blue shading.
I also used a silver pen on the brushes and a little poppy on the necklace and lips.

It's Weekend Wanda!

It's Weekend and here is Weekend Wanda  from Dr dig.
Why do weekends take so long to come round and then go so quickly!! They just fly by.  I did get a bit of a lie in yesterday morning but then got up and did a 10k run (Still keeping my New Years Resolutions but we are only 2 weeks in!!)
Anyways the point to me telling you that was I then got home and was so tired I sat in my dressing gown for an hour before getting the energy to dress!! So Weekend Wanda (Minus the rollers) is pretty much how I looked in the afternoon. (Although I hope I don't have such as big chin!!) Anyone else get home and put the PJ's on straight away?? I think I would live in mine if I could - they are just sooo comfy.

To make this card I cut a diagonal panel from My Minds Eye - My Story collection. I love this paper and the foil detail. I used a sizzix boarder die to cut the panel from Pink Satin card and some gold trimmed black ribbon to cover the join and to make a bow. I added a couple of shimmering pink gems from Hobbycraft and put Stardust stickles over the trim of the dressing gown to make it look fluffy and textured. Finally I put some glaze on Wanda glasses and drink.

I used these Promarkers & flexmarkers -
Skin - Spice, Coral, Soft Peach, Blush & Antique White with Baby pink cheeks.
Dressing gown -  Pale Blossom, Baby Pink, Rose Pink & Cerise.
Trim - Cerise, Hot Pink & Vermillion.
Eyes & Rollers - Cloud Blue
Hair - Sleigh bells & Buttercup.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Have a good one - whatever you end up doing.

Good times with All dressed up digital stamps.

Evening - I've made this card for the Pink Challenge over at All Dressed up Facebook page. I love these images. You know when I started crafting years ago - there was little choice of images and papers... now its a multi million pound industry, with so many really talented designers who draw these images! Wendys images for All Dressed Up are definatley a perfect example! I struggle to pick which one I will use next. And there is currently a design team call but I expect this will be very popular and stacked with amazing creations.

I am pretty fickle about papers - every new pack is my favourite but I love this paper with the bright colours and gold foiling. It is from My Minds Eye and called Everyone has a story to tell. I die cut the frame from gold card using a sizzix frame, behind the frame I glued some flittered velum. The greeting is from Pink Paislee - Hello Sunshine Stickers. I tied together three small flowers with some pink ribbon with gold edge to co-ordinate and glue them in the bottom corner.
I fussy cut around the image which is called Party Frock and then used 3d foam to attach her to the card.

I coloured her with these promarkers & flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique white, blush, soft peach, coral & spice.
Hair - Buttercup, pineapple crush, sleigh bells & raw sienna.
Dress - Tea Rose, Salmon pink, Carmine, Hot Pink, Vermillion.

I would like to enter this card into the following blog -

A New DT oppourtinty for me at The Paper Shelter

Morning - Some exciting news ... I am on a new Design team! Today is my first post for The Paper Shelter and the images are just lovely. I am thrilled and honored to be asked to join this talented bunch!
They have a challenge every week - I am on Design team A and we post our (hopefully?) inspirational cards every fortnight. So be lovely to see you joining in the challenges which have a different theme - Currently it is "Shades of Blue." #231
You don't need to use an image from The Paper Shelter to enter, but if you do you could win a whopping $30 gift certificate to spend! But even if you win using another brand - you get to pick 3 digi's - Aren't they fab prizes.

My card uses The Paper Shelter - Japanese Cute Doll. The paper is from Tilda Summer Blues collection and I mounted a panel onto Navy Bazzill card. I used Docrafts Navy ribbon across the middle before sticking the doll onto the card with 3D Foam. I used some pearl beading in the top left corner - arranged with three co-ordinating Blue flowers called Sweet Petites by Petaloo. I also added some little sticky back pearls and stamped the greeting using blue ink. The stamp is from a stamp set by Stamping Bella.

When I saw what the theme was I instantly though of the Blue chinese style pottery and this paper.   I wanted to keep it really monotone but struggled to not add hints of others colours, although I did manage not to use all the tones I use for skin to keep her quite pale.
I used these Promarkers & Flexmarkers -
Skin - Linen & Soft peach
Clothes - Frozen lake, Powder blue, Cloud blue, Cadet blue, Storm blue & Navy blue.
Wood - Cinnamon
Umbrella -  Tea rose & Salmon pink.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Julia Spiri challenge - Monotone.
Graph'it markers - Winter blues.
Craft for the Craic- January Blues.
Digi Choosday - Cool Blues.
Double D challenge - Forget me not

I hope you like this card and those to come using these wonderful images from The Paper Shelter.

Run Derek Run - Did he get a Fitbit too??

Hello - Today's card is using Run Derek Run. Its a lovely Sunny fresh day here which makes a change from the Rain in the North West lately but it also means there is no excuse not to get those trainers on and get out for a jog. Apparently, Friday was the the day when most people give up on there New Years Resolutions, but I've done pretty well keeping mine so far! All our family got Fitbits for Christmas and blimey it has made us all obsessed and talk about competitive?! We are all trying to out do each other with how many steps a day we can do so this card is perfect for any of my troop at the minute. (My Dad was caught jogging on the spot to get his totals up and the dog is now hiding from him as he is so tired from going out walking all the time!)

To make this card I cut a large panel of the Studio Calico paper from Here and Now collection and mounted this on to paper from Pebbles Happy Day collection. (I treated myself to a stack of new paper pads over the hols!) I used a friskars punch to create the edge (Which has gone a little wonky at the end!) From the same Pebbles pad I cut the greeting panel and also the blue paper it is mounted on. I stuck this to the card with 3D foam.
I added some yellow chevron ribbon from American Crafts and also some Doodlebug sprinkles in yellow and orange arrows and triangles. Finally I used some glaze on his glasses and gold pen on the safety pin.

I coloured Derek using these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
T-shirt - Capri blue, Cadet Blue & Egyptian blue.
Shorts & Mustache - Cool greys.
Headband - Summer Sun & Vanilla, Bright orange & Burnt Orange.
Eyes - Powder blue

Stamping Bella Christmas labels.

This is the final post of christmas cards... I think anyway! These are two cards I made with Uptown girls Chrystal's christmas label from Stamping Bella
The first card I made for a cousin who we always give Money too rather than buy presents so the gold tag has a little pocket at the bottom to slip notes into. I used a sizzix die to cut the tag and fussy cut around the image.

I created the pocket by sticking some Doodlebug paper on the diagonal and then attached the image to the top. The red snowflake paper and the Holly paper below are also from Doodlebug North Pole collection. I used some green ribbon and tied the snowflake button to it and then used Doodlebug letters to personalise the card with the name "Gemma".

On both cards I used Star dust stickles on the fluffy bits of her dress and hat. I also used a white gel pen to add reflection to the candy cane and also gold pen on her belt and the little bow. On this card I added some red ric rac ribbon and a holly die cut with some red gems for the berries.

I used the same promarkers and flexmarkers on both cards -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft peach, Coral & Spice with Baby pink cheeks.
Dress - Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal Red.
Hair - Buttercup, Pineapple Crush, Sleigh Bells & Raw Sienna.
Belt - Ice Grey 3, 4 & 5
Powder Blue shading.

Right - few birthday cards for you catch up on but Ill not overload you at once! Don't want you getting bored of me!!
Take Care,

What Resolutions??

Well - 2016!! It's a big year for me and despite the fact that I know I will never keep them I have made a resolution to get fitter and lose a bit of weight... (Aiming for a stone... there its written down now so I can't change my mind!)

Part of getting fit would be to eat better and drink less but... I get so much pleasure from food and wine!!
This card is made using Hangover Hannah from Dr Digi and I have done pretty well with avoiding any really bad hangovers this festive season... There has been a couple of little ones but nothing to debilitating - suspect that's cos I've been eating my body weight in chocolate and cheese along with the drink...?!!

To make this card I cut a section of patterned paper from a My Minds Eye pad called Pretty Things. I then used the Paper Smooches numbers dies to die cut the 2016 before I glued this to the card base. I added a few pink gems in the corner as there always has to be a bit of bling!
I attached Hannah using 3d foam and them used Doodlebug Rub ons to say "What resolutions?"

I coloured the image using these promarkers and Flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft peach, Coral & Spice. Baby pink cheeks and a little wild cranberry on the lips.
Slippers & hot water bottle - Baby Pink & Cerise.
Pj's top - Ice grey 1 & 3 for shading
Bottoms - Ice Grey 1 & 3 and Powder Blue.
Hair - Buttercup, Pineapple Crush & Sleigh Bells.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

So whatever your resolutions may be - whether you stick to them or not... Happy New Year. Here's to 2016!

Just catching up with the Christmas cards so I thought I would post one showing all the cards I made using My Favourite Things Stamps. They are all made using the same clean and simple layout. I used Queen & co Washi tapes along the edges of the cards and added some gems on to the cards.  I used star dust stickles on the images to make the fluffy bits sparkle. I stamped the greetings using Versa Mark and adhered the images using 3d foam. On one card I used Doodlebug letters to personalize the card for a cousin.

I used these promarkers & flexmarkers to colour the images -
Clothes & presents -
Lime Zest, Lime Green & Grass.
Grass, Emerald & Pine.
Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal Red.
Powder blue for shading.
Bells & Hair - Canary & Gold.

These next two cards use stamps from the set called Merry Christmoose. I cut a partial circle using the Friskars circle cutter from My Favourite Things paper - Fresh Squeezed Chevron.
I used Queen & co Washi tapes along the edges of the cards and added some gems on to the cards. I stamped the greetings using Versa Mark and adhered the images using 3d foam.

I used these Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour the images -
Ice Greys
Lime Zest, Lime Green & Grass,

Alpaca ma Scarf (Love a pun!)

This stamp is from Lawn Fawn and is called Winter Alpaca - I love the pun sentiment that goes with this image! I used paper from the Lawn Fawn Snow Days collection. I cut a partial circle shape with the friskars cutter and glued it to the A6 card base.

I stamped the sentiment on the card at the side of the coloured image which I adhered with 3d foam, along with a couple of presents from the My Favourite things stamps I blogged about earlier.
I used a stripe of Queen & Co Washi tape along the edge of the card along with a few little clear gems.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Presents - Powder blue & Pastel green
Scarf - Poppy & Cardinal Red.
Alpaca - Powder blue shading, Ice grey 1 & 3 on legs & face.

This card I made for the Boyf's parents. The image is from Whimsy Doodles called Santa and Friends. I love the simple lines of the image - its so crisp and clean!

I covered a base card with Doodlebug paper from the North Pole collection called Holly Days.
Across the middle I glued some red ribbon and a handtied bow. Above the ribbon I used a Lawn Fawn die cut greeting cut from Red Mirri card. I die cut the image with a Nestibility and mounted it onto Gold Mirri. I have coloured the belt buckle with Gold pen and also some stickles on the fluffy cuffs & his hat. I also used a little glaze on Mother Christmas' glasses and finally used American crafts Thickers called Woodland Gold foil to spell out Mum & Dad.

Skin - Antique white, blush, soft peach, coral & spice.
Beard - Powder blue
Mrs Christmas hair - Ice grey 1

I also made a card using this image for my folks too using the same promarker pens -

This paper is also from the same Doodlebug collection and I've used a different shape Nestie. The only other difference is the layout and the felt Holly leaves with a red bell for the berry. These I got last year from Hobbycraft - they were one of those things we crafters buy and then can't bear to use up!!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

I hope you have all had a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year.
