Pink Challenge - Some Odd Girl.

This image is from Some Odd Girl and is a digi stamp called Summer Mae. (It is actually unavailable at the mo but there are lots of other digi's of Mae available. ) I made this card to take part in the Some Odd Girl May Community Crop over on Facebook. The challenge theme was PINK. I do love Pink and green together.

The background paper is from Pink Petticoat and is a beautiful watercolour effect pattern from a collection called Strawberry Blooms.  The greeting is from Pebbles and I mounted this on lime green Bazzill card. Mae is also matted on some lemon Bazzill card. The co-ordinating flowers & leaf are from Prima and I added a little pink gem for her necklace.
The paper doilie is a plain one that I bought ages ago - I used a cerise promarker to colour match it to the rest of the card. The background of the image seemed to bright when it was plain white so I have used a little blue chalk from Docrafts to add some sky effect, along with some grass with green promarkers.

The promarkers and flexmarkers I used on this card are -
Skin -Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice. I used Baby Pink and Cerise on her cheeks.
Eyes & Hat -Azure, Sky & Blue Pearl
Hair - Eggnog, Pineapple Crush, Sleigh Bells & Raw Sienna.
Skirt - Baby Pink, Cerise & Carmine. Warm grey 1 & 2
Top - Honeydew, Meadow Green, Lime Zest & Lime Green.
I also edged the image in powder Blue.

3 girls, 1 Mic.

Morning - it's time for me to show you another amazing image from Dr Digi - Today its 3 Girls, 1 Mic. Aren't these Diva's ace! Kind of reminds me of Diana Ross and the Chain reaction video!!

I had loads of fun adding all the glitter to these ladies as they had to shimmer and shine. I seem to have a bit of a thing for Purple at the mo but not sure why really. I think gold and purple go together well and is very opulent - which is only what these ladies deserve!

The background is from the Gilded stack by DCWV. Not sure it shows that well on the picture but the whole of the background is gold foiled on kraft. This picture shows the background better but is overall too dark.

I also covered the Ladies with diamond Stickles once I had coloured them to make them Shimmer and shine. I attached the image using 3d foam.

I made two die cuts of the music notes using a Memory Box die which I layered to add a shadow with paper from my stash and added some purple Doodlebug Sequins. The greeting is from Pebbles and the purple ribbon I had in my stash but the two tone of it works great with the tones of the card. As a final touch of glamour I used a Gold rollerball pen to colour the jewellery and microphone.

The 3 Girls I have coloured using flex & promarkers -
Skin- Antique white, Blush, Soft peach, Coral & Spice.
Cheeks - Baby Pink & Cerise. Lips - Poppy
Dresses - Imperial Purple, Purple Velvet, Purple & Orchid.
Gloves - Sleigh bells, Pineapple Crush & Buttercup.
Hair - Cool greys
I used glacier blue all around the image to make it stand out a little.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges-

Little Darcey Grace.

I made this card for my Friends Bev & Magnus who have just welcomed their daughter into the world. They have called her Darcey Grace and she is lovely.

I kept the card simple as for a baby card I don't think it should be too blingy or garish (Like my cards often can be!)
The image is called Bentley and Bunny and is from Digi Stamp Boutique. I die cut the image using a Spellbinders Nestabilities die and mounted it on the next size up. I used a cloud die from Die-namics to cut apertures from the Kraft card. I wrapped some pink striped ribbon from Doodlebug around the base and stuck the base down with 3d foam to give it some dimension. I knotted the ribbon and tied a pink dotty button around it with some pearl twine. The letters and numbers are from Doodlebug also.

I added some crystal Gems from Papermania and a pink heart button from my stash.

On Bentley I used warm grey promarkers
On Bunny I used Baby Pink, Cerise & Pale Blossom.

I added a little Glacier Blue around the bunnies and also to add some subtle cloud shadows.
I used Honeydew, Green Shoots & leaf green to colour the Grass.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
The Cutie Pie - Layers
Die Cutting Diva - Baby Love.

Vicky The Viking turns 40.

'Hello - I made this card for my Sister (Older - may I add) who turned 40 on Thursday. My Dad and I would often annoy her when we were younger by repeatedly asking her - " Vicky, were you ever a Viking?" We were very amused by ourselves - She wasn't! That just encouraged us to keep doing it though!! This image just seemed perfect! It is even called Vicky the Viking and is a digi from Saturated Canary. You can find the image by clicking on the links.

Anyone who has visited my blog before - knows I'm not a muted tone kind of girl but this image didn't seem right all bright and colourful so I kept with Purple, blue and grey tones. I also kept the backgrounds quite simple but thought the wood effect paper was really fitting. Ive searched my paper stash and I can't for the life of me find which pad the paper came from!! (Annoying!!) The yellow stripe paper is from My Minds Eye - Miss Caroline and I think the tone matches the colour of her hair and ties it altogether.
The letters and numbers are from Sue Wilson sticker sheet which I've had for ages. The Blue lace is from Do Craft and is self adhesive - which made life so much easier! The multi-tone ribbon was just from my stash...?
As a final touch I added some Iridescent gems to her helmet and around the card which are from Papermania.

The Promarkers and flexmarkers I used on Vicky are -
Skin - Usual with Baby pink & Antique pink for lips and blush.
Hair - Mustard, Pineapple Crush & Sleigh Bells.
Eyes - Reef blue & Powder Blue.
Blue clothes - Icicle, Blue Pearl & Cornflower.
Purple clothes - Slate, Winter Berry, Lilac & Lavender.
Hat, sword & Shoes - Ice Greys
Horns and Socks - Warm Greys.
She is also edged in Soft Aqua.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Bunny Zoe - Buttons & Bows.
Allsorts Challenge - 312.
Creative Corner - ATG
Inkspirational - Purple.
Polka Doodles - Girlie but no pink.

Blunder Woman.

Dr Digi image called Blunder Woman. I think this would be a great Mothers day card or just one to cheer up and support a friend.
It makes me think of Bella Emburg in the Russ Abbott show that used to be on TV - am I showing my age?? To mention age - It was my Birthday yesterday - hence why this post is a little late as I didn't get chance to do it in advance. I was busy gossiping and catching up with my friends and eating and drinking with the family - What else do I need!

For this card I used the Dr Digi image coloured with Promarkers. I also added some glaze to the gloves and boots. The papers are all from Doodlebug Stars and Stripes collection- which I cut into graded Banners. I think I'm going to need to buy another pad of this paper as it is my fav at the mo - I've been doing lots of RED, WHITE AND BLUE.
I wasn't sure what greeting to go with but cut the My Hero from Black and gold card using my Silhouette. I added three gold stars which are also from Doodlebug and some matching gold ribbon that was from my stash. The image I stuck on with 3d foam pads to give her some depth.

The Promarkers used are -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft peach, Coral & Spice.
Hair - Warm Greys
Clothes-
Blue stripes - True blue, Egyptian blue, Royal Blue & Indigo Blue.
Red stripes - Red, Poppy, Ruby, Cardinal red  & Burgandy
Trim - Gold & Summer Sun
Skirt - Surf Blue, Storm Blue & Duck egg blue.

May's Colour Mojo

Its Time for the May Colour inspiration - this month its Turquoise
For those who have been following the colour journal journey - This has been inspired by Some Odd Girl and Kristy - who uses Copics so its great to be able to convert the colours to Promarkers as there isn't as much guidance or colour combos out there for Pros as there are the Copics.

So here is my latest page in my colour Journal. (If you want to see the other pages- just click on the label and all the pages will appear.) So far I have done Lime Green, Yellow and now this lovely colour.

I ran out of time a little so I only did the Turquoise on the blue specrum but plan to do some with a more Green base too.

This image is from Some Odd Girl and is called Tweeting. I shouldn't have completed him but it seemed wrong not too... So I did finish him and then I did exactly why I shouldn't finish my journal images - I used him on a card!!

Here's the finished Card.... Now I will have to colour him again to put back in my journal! Oh well - Good job I love colouring!! I am pleased with the card and..... drum roll... I won the SOG Critter Challenge with him! Which means I can buy even more of the fab images to colour!! Its WIN WIN!

I used My Minds Eye papers and some new Doodlebug Washi tape and Heart stickers. The Red washi tape I actually bought in Tesco! The stamped greeting is from Paper Smooches and I just coloured the heart in with Poppy Promarker.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges...
Polkadoodles - Things with Wings.
Crafty Calender - Things with Wings.
Love to Scrap - ATG.
Paper take weekly - Have a heart.

Hope you like this Months Colour - Can't wait to see what colour Kristy will pick for next month...
See you Soon,

Party Poopers.

I made this card for the latest I Love Promarkers Challenge using images from the sponsor Eureka Stamps. This is one of the digi images called - Party Poopers.   Click on the link to take you to the image.

I'm not sure why I choose this image as I am not very good at colouring Fur but I love Dogs and just thought this was a really fun image. I based my Dogs and colouring on a Little Mutt, Alsatian, A grey Scruff, Doberman, Labrador and Dalamatian - Not sure I managed but you get the jist!

The theme of the challenge this week is TAGS - So I went with the party theme and added a tag as a Shaker embellishment using Acetate and putting behind it lots of multi-coloured sequins and glitter.
The background paper is from Doodlebug and the red tag paper is from Bazzill Basics. Tag I die cut using a Sizzix die which I removed the middle from. The ribbon I just had in my stash?!  The Happy Birthday is from Pebbles and the black letters are also from Doodlebug. I added a little glaze to the Pooches noses to make them appear wet.
The Grass is cut using a Joy Of Crafts Die.

I used the following Promarkers to colour the dogs -
Dalmatian - Cool grey 1 & 5
Golden Retriver - Sleigh bells, Pineapple crush, Eggnog & Raw sienna. Cocktail pink & blush.
Alsatian - Auburn, Saddle brown, Chestnut, Cocoa, Warm grey 5, Fire wood & Umber.

I'm so very ready for Summer!

I am willing the Sun to come out by creating this card! I am ready for Summer & the veg plot is def ready for Summer - enough of the rain already!

So I'll keep making bright and sunny cards in the hope that the weather warms up very soon.

I made this card using Dr Digi image - A Dunderton Abroad. I wanted to go with his tropical shirt and suitcase somewhere exotic. It as either that or I went retro British and had him on a traditional Pier - Maybe I'll do that next time. This Image reminded me of my Dad with his socks and sandals - think I'll use it for his Fathers Day Card!

For this card I used Simple Stories "Goodday Sunshine"collection. The Sentiment sheet is cut from a 12x12 paper and mounted on white to make it stand out a little. The sticker top right is from the embellishment collection. I die cut the Palm Tree using a Sizzix die and more papers from the collection. I used Promarker in bright green to add some texture to the leaves. I added some gems in cor-ordinating colours as I thought it needed something else but didn't know what to go with. I thought these gems would evoke the idea of the sand and sea. I added some glaze on to the Sunglasses and the camera lens.

I used these promarkers to colour the digi image -
Shorts & tash -  Warm Grey 1,3 & 5
Skin - Spice, Coral, Soft Peach, Blush & Antique White.
Sunglasses - Ice grey 1 & 5, Black & Egyptian blue.
Socks - Saffron, Halloween & Orange.
Sandals & Case - Tan, Nutmeg, Saddle Brown & Cocoa.

Rocky the Black eyed boxer.

This,  Ladies & Gents, is Rocky. He is another great image from Dr Digi.

I am about a week late posting this as I made it for my Brother In Laws Birthday last Sunday but also there was the big Boxing match in America - so it would have been very topical. Boys seem to love boxing - I don't really get it.
But here he is Rocky for you on this weeks card. I kept this card simple in design and colour as I think the Image alone is enough.

Card recipe -
I printed Rocky off  fairly big and coloured him in using Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I attached a strip of the big bold dot paper from my stash of Echo Park Dots & Stripes. I also added some Black Bazzill card to the card base and then added the Rocky piece to the base using large 3d foam pads. I used a Pebbles "Happy Birthday" and some washi tape  I bought from Tesco! I attached some Doodlebug enamel dots in purple to co-ordinate with Rocky's black eye. Once I had coloured his gloves I covered them with Glaze.

Promarkers & Flex markers used -
Skin - Spice, Coral, Soft Peach, Blush & Antique white. Violet & Bluebell for his shiner!
Gloves & Shorts - Burgundy, Cardinal red, Ruby, Poppy, Red & Lipstick Red.
Belt & Boots - Cool Grey 1 to 5 & Black.

Lindy's 40th

I made this card for my Friend Lindy (Who guessed??!) who was 40 - Ok I will stop stating the obvious now!! I've used it for my DT card over at I LOVE PROMARKERS And this weeks theme is Anything Goes!

The Image is a rubber stamp from Stamping Bella called Uptown Girl Bentley. You can find her here. I love these Uptown Girl images and I think the images are enough and don't need loads of embellishments and bling to make a lovely card.

Card Recipe.
I hand cut the wave and just put a small gap between them - Behind which I stuck some Doodlebug glitter card stock in a colour called "Swimming Pool" which is a lovely turquoise colour.
The "Happy" and 40 were cut from Bubblegum Doodlebug glitter card stock using  Die-namics and the other letters are Doodlebug stickers.
I added glaze to the ballons and I sprinkled some Cosmic Shimmer over the top of the central balloon to make it stand out a bit. Finally I added a few Enamel dots in Co-ordianting colours from a selection of My Minds Eye dots.

The image is coloured with Promarkers / Flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice
Dress - Pale Citrus, Lime Zest, Lime & Pear.
Hair - Magenta, Hot Pink, Cerise, Cocktail Pink & Baby Pink
Balloons -  Marine, Turquoise, Oasis & Pastel Green / Azure, Sky, Arctic & Glacier Blue / Azure, True Blue, Egyptian Blue

Enjoy Retirement.

I made this card as a special request for a Retirement card. I used an image called Deirdery's Day Off from Dr Digi. I love the humour in these images but still wanted it quite feminine.

I stuck to two patterned papers from My Minds Eye - Now & Then Collection onto a sheet the same size as the the card and attached a strip of co-ordinating Bazzill Swiss Dot. I then Die cut the circle from Spellbinders which I stuck on top of the coloured image using 3d foam so it was raised. I also drew around the die to get a slightly larger frame which I cut by hand. I paper pieced the Sunshade and towel and added glaze to her glasses, jug and Cocktail.
I used a Die-namics die to cut the Banner and added Websters pages letter stickers to spell out "Retirement" - Luckily there were just enough flags! I cut "Enjoy" from glitter paper using my Cameo machine - Which I really need to use more to its full potential!
Finally I added a ribbon bow tied with a button and twine, along with some pink gems to add the Bling.

Deirdery is coloured with the following Promarkers and Flex markers -
Skin - Spice, Coral, Soft Peach, Blush, Antique White
Hair - Baby Pink, Cerise, Lipstick Red.
Swim suit - Honeydew, Pastel Green, Frosted Jade,
Sun lounger - Cocoa, Caramel, Cinnamon.
The drink is coloured with Soft Lime, Yellow & Mustard. I then went over the top with Frozen Lake to add the Glass effect.
I also used some Warm Grey 3 to add shadow to the paper piecing.
