Keep on Mooving On?

Hello, I'm here with my latest card for DT at I LOVE PROMARKERS. The image is called Raiding the Fridge and is from QKR Stampede.

This weeks theme is "GLITTER" - Easy!! I put glitter on almost everything!! I kept the card relatively simple and the colour on the card quite minimal. I found the background cow print free on the internet just from a Google search. I knew straight away the card would be Pink, Black and white.

I thought for a while about the greeting and decided to move away for the idea of the cow blocking the fridge but I knew I wanted a pun. (Who doesn't love a pun?!!) So I thought this greeting of "Mooving on" would be good for a leaving card. It is also quite ironic as the same day I sprained my ankle so there was little "MOOVING" going on with me! Bit frustrating as I was just managing to run 5 kilometers in 30 mins but I will have to wait for a while to get back training. On the plus side - more time to craft!

Card recipe -
Yellow & Pink enamel dots from My Minds Eye
Doodlebug letters
Cow print background paper (Free of internet.)
Pink Doodlebug glitter card.
Star dusk stickles glue.

The image was coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers -
Wood - Caramel, Cocoa & Henna
Shading on cow - Ice Grey 1, 3 & 5
Udders & Nose - Cerise, Cocktail Pink, Baby Pink, Pale Pink & Muted Pink.
Hinges and locks -Pineapple crush & Raw Sienna
Shadowing - Powder blue
Locks and metal - Cool grey 3 & 5.

Aprils Colour Mojo!

Mojo Yellow!
How do you feel about Yellow? I have to be honest its not a colour I turn to that much but this was fun to do. I did struggle a little bit as I like Bright (Ha! Who knew??!) and there aren't that many variations of bright but I have had a right good fiddle around and attached all the combos below.

For those who have been following the colour journal journey - This has been inspired by Some Odd Girl and Kristy - who uses Copics so its great to be able to convert the colours to Promarkers as there isn't as much guidance or colour combos out there for Pros as there are the Copics.

This image is a digi from Some Odd Girl and is called Duck In Boots. You can find him here

This image is a rubber stamp from Stamping Bell and is called Uptown Marcella. You can find her here.

And here are my colour combos of Yellow Promarkers -  Feel free to use them, link to them, share them etc but please leave a comment to say Hi or even better follow the blog as each month will be a different colour... Who knows what Kristy will choose next!

Thanks for reading and hope you Pros out there find them useful.

Attention!

Morning all - It's Sunday and whilst for most its lazy relaxing time... I will shortly be off to work. BOO! I want to stay home and colour but unfortunately I have to earn some money to support my crafty addiction.

This image is from Dr Digi - Corporal Clegg and I think he is ace - plus at the moment he is only £1.00! You can't get much for a £1 these days!

Initially I thought I'd colour his uniform in Red but I've done quite a bit of red lately so I went Khaki and I love how he turned out. (But a Red and Blue combo won't be far behind.) I've not added a greeting as I though it could be used for any occasion as it is and I can always add on later. I added the Ribbon, button and star etc so they gave an impression of medals.

Card Recipe -
Hobbycraft Kraft card is the base and the map paper is from Amercian Crafts - Do It Yourself collection which is great for mens cards. The Stars are from Doodlebug and the ribbon from The Ribbon Girl - Red Twill. The other bits were just from my stash but any twine, ribbon and buttons would work the same. A big gold or brass button would look great! (Note to self for next time!!)  I also added Glaze to the buttons, Cane and Gloves. Seems I put glaze on everything at the mo.

I used these promarkers / Flexmarkers -
Shoes / Belt / Moustache - Black & Cool greys.
Uniform - Pastel beige, Pesto, Olive, Herb Green, Earth Yellow.
Shirt and tie - Khaki.
Hat - Burgandy, Cardinal red, Ruby & Poppy.
Skin- Usual combo of Antique White, Spice, Coral, Soft Peach & Blush.
Gloves - Nutmeg, Cocoa & Saddle Brown.
Gold buttons etc - Gold, Canary & Buttercup.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges...
Sparkles challenge - Ribbon.& buttons
Digitally sweet challenge 137 - anything goes.
Craft your Passion - Anything Goes.

Dream Big...

Do you ever have an idea of exactly how something should look -just not quite sure how to achieve it?? Well that was this card for the DT at  I LOVE PROMARKERS which is sponsored by MilkCoffee Digital Stamps. I chose this image called Charlotte at Paper Ship. You can find her here

I loved this image straight away but I didn't see a boat floating on water... I saw a girl asleep dreaming and her imaginary boat on a cloud. The theme for this weeks challenge is BUGS and I really wanted to make it look like the butterflies were Fireflies glowing in the moon ... but I didn't really think how I would achieve this... and I'm not happy with the "moonlight" from the top right corner or the butterflies but I do like how Charlotte shimmers. I used a Clear Wink Of Stella pen and Stickles around the Bugs.

Card Recipe -
Back ground Paper is Doodlebug. Image was printed onto some news print paper from Pebbles "Front Porch" collection. I added a cream ribbon which was accented with a resin bow. The swirly gems are from Create and Craft Rhinestone. The letter stickers are from Doodlebug and it took me ages to decide what greeting to put on it!

The Promarkers I used are -
Boat - WarmGrey1, 3 & 5
Skin - Coral, Soft Peach, Blush, Antique white with Cocktail and baby pink on her cheeks.
Hair - Primrose, Buttercup & Pineapple Crush.
Cloud - Blue Grey 1 & 3
Dress - Lavender, Orchid, Amethyst & Purple.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges -

The Ribbon Girl Challenge - Colour from your flag.
Creative Corner Challenge - For a child
Sparkles challenge - Ribbon.
Digitally sweet challenge 136 - Things with wings.
Ants in my pants -Anything goes

Thanks for stopping by and I'd love you to leave a comment.

Mystic Mabel predicts...

Morning All - Here is my latest post for Dr Digi's House of Stamps.
This is Mystic Mabel and you can find her here... She is expecting you to visit!

Card Recipe -
The Stripped paper is from Echo Park - Country Drive collection & the Cloud paper is from Doodlebug. I created the greeting using letter stickers from Websters Pages and they are a great easy size to use. The Gem swirls are from a pack I got at Create and Craft. The aperture was cut using a Spellbinders Die and I used 3D foam to give the card and Image some dimension.

I coloured Mabel with Promarkers & Flexmarkers as always -
Head Scarf - Plum, Mulberry, Boysenberry & Orchid.
Earings - Buttercup, Sunflower & Sleigh Bells.
Top - Magenta, Carmine, Baby Pink, Muted Pink - with Ice Grey 5 & 3 to the shade the inside of the sleeves.
Hair - Black, Henna, Burnt Umber & Saddle Brown.

Table cloth - Honeydew, Pastel Green, Mint Green. The topper is Pastel Blue and Bluebell with trims of the yellows and pinks.

I'm really pleased with how the Crystal Ball has turned out. I coloured behind it and them covered it with Glaze which I sprinkled Cosmic Shimmer glitter into whilst it was still wet.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges -

ABC Challenge - H is for Happy Birthday.
Craft your Passion - Anything Goes.
Digitally Sweet challenge 133 - Anything goes.
Thanks for stopping by - But Mabel already told me you would! (:(|)x

Cake - I love the cake!

This card is for my second post as part of Dr Digi Design Team. You can find the image here...
Its simply called Cake and Candles. It is a brand new release and it is one of those essential images that you can use over and over again. And even better its only £1.00! It could be coloured or paper pieced to match any of your background papers or made huge to be the cards itself... umm I like that idea - think I'll try that myself! There are loads of great images and 4 new ones this week for you to create with... I want them all!!

Card recipe -
Doodblebug papers - The flowery glittery red paper is called Sweet Cakes - appropriate huh?!
Cake - Sleigh bells, Sunflower, Tulip, Buttercup, Ivory.
Jam - Sunset red, Molten red & Ruby.
Icing - Carmine & Baby Pink covered with Pink chunky doodlebugs glitter.
Flames - Orange and Yellow stickles.
Candles - Green & Lush Green.

I added a section of yellow ribbon to conceal the join between the two papers and die cut white and Black paper using Spellbinders dies. I used 3d foam to attach it to the die cuts and give it dimension.
The greeting is a stamp from Sizzix which I used the stickles on again- as a final touch I added a  pink heart button.

I am entering this card into the following challenges -
